I had to have it done yesterday to log into my crypto account. This is happening because the UK is leading the world in taking over all cryptocurrencies. The whole point of cryptocurrencies was originally that they were anonymous nobody knew you had them or how much or where the money came from. Now with the UK government you at risk of being accused of money laundering when you use crypto.

Nobody ever suspects they could potentially end up in jail for spending their own money.
